White Lake State Park

White Lake State Park is a seasonal park located in Tamworth, New Hampshire. On Route 16, the park centers around a glacial lake which is excellent for swimming. It is a great place for a family or group outing during the warmer months.

Activities

White Lake State Park has a plethora of activities for the entire family. Best known for its swimming, the lake is also available for canoeing and kayaking. In addition, there is a foot path which encircles the lake and offers great vistas for bird watching. Fishing is another activity popular at White Lake State Park, where the most common fish is trout. There is a campground which has showers and a trailer sanitary station. Children can take advantage of the park's playground.

Park season

White Lake State Park is a summertime park. It is open full-time for the season starting around Memorial Day in May of each year. After Labor Day, the park is only open on weekends for a month or so, and it closes for the season in mid-October. There is a daily fee, with a seasonal pass option as well.

The glacial lake offers a beautiful natural swimming hole as well as other water activities such as canoeing, kayaking and fishing for the entire family.
