Rye Harbor State Park

At Rye Harbor State Park, there is no limit to the fun you can have in the great outdoors. This park has a lot to offer its visitors, from scenic ocean views to perfect picnic settings. Set on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Rye, New Hampshire, this park is truly a joy.

General park information

Rye Harbor State Park includes a total area of 63 acres and is easy to access off of Route 1A. During the winter months, it is only open on weekends; after Memorial Day, the park is open full time from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. There is an admission fee of $4 for adults and $2 for children. The most populated region of the park is the waterfront, but there are trails leading inland that it are fun to explore.

Activities and attractions

Most people visit the park for the excellent saltwater fishing and view of the ocean. There are also designated picnic areas with tables and shelters as well as public washrooms. The park is a common location for wedding and prom photography, and the scenery was used in the creation of several noted paintings and photography collections.
