Mt. Sunapee State Park Beach

Mt. Sunapee State Park Beach is located adjacent to Mt. Sunapee Resort in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region of western New Hampshire. While the resort is open year-round, the beach is geared towards summertime fun, such as swimming and boating.
Lake Sunapee
The beach is located on Lake Sunapee, a 4,085 acre lake formed by retreating glaciers. The shoreline slopes very gradually to the deep waters of the lake. This spring-fed lake has water that is exceptionally pure and clear, objects are clearly seen up to a depth of 30 feet.
Things to do
Swimming, picnicking, boating and fishing are the obvious draws of the beach and the lake. Nearby Mt. Sunapee Resort also offers camping and hiking in the summer months. On the way to or from a relaxing day, visitors can take a scenic drive around the lake along state routes 103A and 103B.
Amenities
Multiple amenities are available, including a bathhouse, store, playground and boat launch. For people without their own watercraft, canoe and kayak rentals are available on site.
Planning a visit
The park is conveniently located near the towns of Sunapee, Newberry and New London. The beach is only open from Memorial Day through early September. While visitors are welcome all week long throughout July and August, early in the season the area is only open weekends. There is a small fee for use of the area.
