Hampton Beach State Park

The Hampton Beach State Park in New Hampshire is comprised of 50 acres of protected land, a significant portion of which are along the Atlantic Ocean. The namesake beach for the park is one of the most beautiful and popular in the state, but vacationers looking for a more rustic outdoor experience can also camp at the park overnight.

Swimming

Without a doubt, the big attraction at Hampton Beach State Park is Hampton Beach itself. Thousands of swimmers and sunbathers flock to this stretch of the Atlantic Ocean every year. In an effort to keep them all happy and entertained, the park offers a band shell, amphitheater and a visitor services center.

Fishing

The Hampton Beach Park is equally popular among area fishermen. Unlike inland parks, which are restricted to freshwater fish species, the Hampton Beach State Park is one of the best public saltwater fishing sites. Attached boat launches also give trophy fisherman a chance to unload and head off in pursuit of deeper waters and bigger game.

Camping

Camping at Hampton Beach State Park is a step above your old fashioned family tent. To camp here, you need an RV with water, sewer and electric hook-ups. No tents or pop-ups are allowed, but the park still offers public bathhouses from 8am until 11pm in addition to giving campers open access to the many other park activities.
