Greenfield State Park

At Greenfield State Park, families and explorers of all ages can enjoy the outdoors for a day, weekend, or week. This park is located just off Route 136 in Greenfield, New Jersey and charges minimal admission fees for children and adults. With 401 acres to explore, you can easily occupy yourself for several days.

Basic park information

This woodsy park is tucked away in a forest setting on the shores of Otter Lake. The land contains several bogs and marshes, and is thus home to a large number of unique plants and animals.

Camping at the park

The campgrounds at Greenfield State Park are open form May through October. They feature the classic amenities including a dumping station and restrooms. There is also a 900-foot stretch of beach that is designated only for campers, so you do not have to worry about overcrowding. Pets are permitted at the campsite and youth camping is available for organized groups. Youth groups must consists of 10 or more campers and have one leader per four youth present on the grounds.

Activities

Campers at Greenfield State Park have the classic hiking and biking trails available for their use. Fishing is also allowed at certain locations on Otter Lake, and there is a canoe and kayak rental stand. Walking paths through the park lead to ponds and other unique natural formations.
