The geography of Bear Brook State Park
Located just southeast of Allenstown, New Hampshire, the park covers over 10,000 acres of breathtaking scenery. A number of ponds, streams, wooded areas and flatlands provide ample space for a diverse population of wild plants and animals.

Bear Brook State Park is a haven for casual weekend trekkers, die-hard campers and everyone in between. The park houses a total of 96 campsites, complete with showers, laundry facilities, ice machines, firewood and many other comforts. Canoes and rowboats are available for rent on a first-come, first-serve basis. Experienced fly-fishers as well as youngsters new to the sport can enjoy ponds that are specialized to match a variety of skill levels. Both of the New Hampshire state park system's archery ranges are located in Bear Brook, for use with visitors' own archery equipment. Hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders are all welcome on the park's 40 miles of trails; a special fitness course includes workout stations that instruct hikers in 20 different exercises. Pets are permitted on trails and in many of the park's recreational areas, so bring your furry friends along with you.
